Description
The LateAndNotPresentWriteLateTimeFlag setting is used to determine the time used when creating a late in absence event, when adding a late entry on the Attendance window.
See:
- Attendance window in the Attendance and absence events manual
- Absence Events Maintenance window in the Attendance and absence events manual.
Default value
The default value is True.
The time that the student arrived is used to create the late in absence time. In the following example, a student has arrived at 9:40am for their 9:30am class.
When the class attendance is submitted, an absence event is created with a time of 9:40am.
Setting a different value
Clear the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to False. See Maintaining configuration files.
The start time of the period is used to create the time of the absence event.
In the same example used above, an absence event is created with a time of 9:30am (the start time of the period).
