Description
The LateAndPresentCreateAEFlag setting is used to determine whether to create an absence event if the student arrived late but has been marked present on the Attendance window.
Synergetic always creates an absence event if the student has been marked absent.
Your organisation's policy determines whether a student is marked absent or present. For example, your organisation decides that more than 5 minutes late is considered present and more than 15 minutes late is considered absent.

Default value
The default value is False. No absence event is created if a student has arrived late but has been marked present according to your organisation's policy.

 

Setting a different value
Select the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to True. See Maintaining configuration files.

In the example used above, a late arrival entered on the Attendance window which has also been marked present, creates an absence event.
