luTransportStops lookup table

Description
Use the luTransportStops lookup table to define the transport stops and their relative distances from your location.
For example, you can define stops along a bus route so that you can record which stop each student is picked up or set down at.
These are used on the Transport tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Transport tab in the Current students manual.

Fields

Field

Description

TransportCode

Transport code that the stop applies to.
For example, the following stops are defined against the A bus route, which has a code of BUSA.

This restricts the stops displayed on the Stop drop-down list to the route of the selected Transport Code. In the following example:

  • the Route 245 bus route has been selected in the Transport Code field
  • you can choose one of the corresponding stops from the Stop drop-down list.

Code

Unique code used to identify the transport stop or pick up point.
Note: We recommend that you develop a standard to combine the bus route and stop into a unique code.

Description

Description as it appears on the Transport Code field when searching for transport methods. In the following example Stop .3. (stop 3 of route A) is being selected.

SortOrder

Order that the stops are displayed on the drop-down list.
This ensures that the stops are displayed in the order that they occur along the route.

TravelDistance

Distance from the stop to your organisation.
This is used to determine any travel allowances that apply to the student.

ActiveFlag

Select to show if a stop is actively used.
Deselect if a stop is no longer actively used.
Note: An inactive stop does not appear in the drop-down list, but can be reinstated if necessary.

ModifiedDate

Date and time the lookup table entry was last modified.

ModifiedUser

User that last modified the lookup table entry.
