Staff Maintenance - P.D. bar

The P.D. (Professional Development) bar displays courses and other learning activities undertaken by the staff member for their professional development.

 Opening the P.D. bar

To open the P.D. bar:

  1. Select Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Staff Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.
  3. Click the P.D. bar.

    Tip:
     You can click anywhere on a navigation bar other than the caption to open it.

Staff Maintenance - P.D. bar key fields and buttons

Description

Course

Course name.

Provider

Organisation that ran the course.

Start Date

Course start date.

Finish Date

Course end date.

Learning Area

Learning area covered by the course.

Application Date

Date staff member applied for course.

Status

Status of the personal development course. For example, the staff member may:

  • have applied to attend the course
  • have confirmed their attendance
  • be currently completing the course
  • have completed the course
  • have cancelled the course.
    The course status list is maintained in the luStaffTrainingStatus lookup table in Lookup Table Maintenance. See luStaffTrainingStatus lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

Description of the course status.

Description

Add details of courses attended by the staff member as part of their professional development.

Edit the highlighted course.

Delete the highlighted course.


Common buttons

Description

Create a new staff member. See Creating staff members.

Delete the selected staff member. See Deleting staff members or making them inactive.

Display the Staff Maintenance Search Criteria window.

You can update the search criteria and search for new staff. See Searching for staff members.

Customise how the bars are displayed. See Customising navigation bars in the Introduction manual.

Create a new task relating to the current staff member. See Managing tasks in the Introduction manual.

Click to refresh the screen for the selected staff member.
