Staff Maintenance - Other bar

Use the Other bar to:

  • record whether your organisation has checked the staff member's references
  • record whether the staff member has had a police check
  • record any details of a probationary period
  • record the staff member's driver's license details
  • view the staff member's network login
  • barcode used for programs using barcoding devices, such as point of sale terminals
  • record whether the staff member is authorised for purchase of sale items.

 

 Opening the Other bar
  1. Select Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Staff Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.
  3. Click the Other bar.

    Tip:
     You can click anywhere on a navigation bar other than the caption to open it.

Other Details area fields

Field

Description

References Checked / Date

Select if your organisation has checked the staff member's references. If so, the date that they were checked.

Police Record Checked / Date

Select if the staff member has had a police check. If so, the date that it was checked.

Reference Number

Police check reference number.

Driver's License

Staff member's driver's license number.

External Registration Number

Used to store a registration number sourced from an external system.

Note: You can re-label this field using the ExternalRegNumber:Caption configuration setting. See ExternalRegNumber:Caption configuration setting in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

Note: You can make this field read-only using the ExternalRegNumber:ReadOnly configuration setting. See ExternalRegNumber:ReadOnly configuration setting in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

Network Login

Staff member's login name for your organisation's network.

Barcode

Barcode assigned to the employee for the purchase of sale items.

Authorised for G/L Purchase of Sale Items

Select if the employee is authorised to purchase items from your shop.

Note: This must be defined in the business unit configuration. See Synergetic Financial Configuration - Business Units tab in the Synergetic Finance manual.

Working With Children Checks area fields

Field

Description

Status

Status of the community member's WWC (Working With Children) check.

The status that is used at your organisation depends on the requirements of your jurisdiction and the person's role. The typical settings are:

  • Not Selected.
  • Applied. An application is pending.
  • PassPaidWork. The person is registered to work with children.
  • PassVolunteer. The person is registered to work voluntarily with children.
  • IntNegNot. The person is not permitted to work with children unsupervised until further notice. For example, when a person is working with adults exclusively and they have not applied for a WWC check.
  • NegNot. The person is not permitted to work with children unsupervised.

Expiry Date

Expiry date of the current WWC check registration.

Registration Number

WWC check registration number.

Verified Date

Date that the WWC check was verified by your organisation.

Current WWC Required

Whether the staff member needs a current WWC check.

Probationary Period area fields

Field

Description

Date Start / Date End

Period of probation before a staff member is made a permanent employee.

Description

Create a new staff member. See Creating staff members.

Delete the selected staff member. See Deleting staff members or making them inactive.

Display the Staff Maintenance Search Criteria window.

You can update the search criteria and search for new staff. See Searching for staff members.

Customise how the bars are displayed. See Customising navigation bars in the Introduction manual.

Create a new task relating to the current staff member. See Managing tasks in the Introduction manual.

Click to refresh the screen for the selected staff member.
