Overview of changes included in this hotfix package

NZMOE have recently released a clarification to the logic for populating Field 20 - Zoning Status. 

From NZMOE:

... if a school does not have an enrolment scheme the students by default should be reported as NAPP, regardless of boarding status. You are also correct that zoning does not apply to private schools, therefore all Synergetic students should be coded as NAPP

As a result we have update the Db Process that produces the NZMOE submission file that includes: Field 20 - Zoning Status to ensure conformance.


This fix is applied by running the below script against NZ instances of Synergetic.


Obtaining and applying the hotfix

We have created a SQL fix for v70.01 and later releases of Synergetic. 

1) Download the fix from the link below :

2) Open and run the patcher

  • Open the zip file and extract the included exe file to your SQL server (or to a location that is able to communicate with the SQL Server)
  • Run the exe - this will run a database patcher wizard which will take you through the steps to apply the database logic changes for this report.
  • The patcher can be applied with Users remaining logged in and will only take seconds to run

3) Once the patcher has completed successfully, your system should be updated and ready to correctly report Boarders to NZMOE.
