Overview of changes included in this hotfix package

Later this year the Commonwealth and State government require schools to report those Year 2 students who will be in Year 3 for the 2024 NAPLAN test.

To support this we now provide the ability to extract the NAPLAN student registration data for either 'Selected Year Projection' or 'Next Year Projection'.

Both of these include any finalised Future Students who will be enrolled on the NAPLAN Test Date, hence their labelling as Projections.  

The Next Year Projection will also report current students in their projected next year's Year Level, eg 2023 Year 2 students will be reported as 2024 Year 3 students.

For v70 and above, a Hotfix is provided to allow you to install these changes prior to submitting 2024 NAPLAN Year 3 student registration data in late 2023.

For v69, a Hotfix is not practicable, and the same work-around as in 2022 will need to be under-taken.


Obtaining and applying the hotfix


We have created a hotfix patch for v.70 through v71.03 releases of Synergetic, to provide you with the relevant updates to support your NAPLAN data export.  v.71.04 and greater will have the changes organically.

1) Download StuXie.exe and place this in the location the main Synergetic application is hosted on your network (the location of Synmain.exe as shown in Synergetic Help - About):

2) Download this zip file to your system:

3) Open the zip file and extract the included exe file to your SQL server (or to a location that is able to communicate with the SQL Server)

4) Run the hotfix exe program - this will run a database patcher wizard which will take you through the steps to apply the database logic changes for this report.

5) Once the patcher has completed successfully, your system should be updated.
