2024-08 - VASS 2024 - Student Email included

Overview of changes included in this hotfix package

VCAA collect VASS data via a Student Data file.  This is produced from within Synergetic via:      Students > Student Data Import/Export... > VASS > Export Student Details (radio button)


For the late 2024 VASS Student Data collection (October) VCAA have changed Column I of the data file from 'Salutation' to 'Student Email Address'.  See: VASS Student Data Import Update September 2024.docx

The HotFix below will apply this change within a Synergetic Client.


Obtaining and applying the hotfix


The  fix will be formally available from v.71.31.  For versions of Synergetic older than this ie V71.30 and below, the hotfix will need to be applied.  The hotfix changes the database only, no front-end changes are made.


To download and apply the hotfix:

1) Download this zip file to your system (updated on 5 Sep, 2024):

2) Open the zip file and extract the included exe file to your SQL server (or to a location that is able to communicate with the SQL Server)

4) Run the hotfix exe program - this will run a database patcher wizard which will take you through the steps to apply the database logic changes for this report.

5) Once the patcher has completed successfully, your system should be updated.
