Configuring WAAR results entry

Configuring WAAR settings
To set up Synergetic for WAAR results entry:

  1. Set the value of the RegionCode configuration setting to WA. See RegionCode configuration setting.
  2. Add a WAAR entry to the luReportResultType lookup table. See luReportResultType lookup table. Set the:
    • Code to WAAR
    • SynergyMeaning to WAAR.

  3. Set the WAAR:Overall:Grade configuration setting to 1. See WAAR:Grade configuration setting.
  4. Set the WAAR:Overall:Average configuration setting to 2. See WAAR:Average configuration setting.
  5. Set the default WAAR Rating configuration settings. See Rating configuration settings.
  6. Set up the WAAR assessment areas. See Maintaining subject assessment areas in the Assessments and reports manual. The assessment areas must either:
    • have a Result Type of WAAR
    • 
    use a Result Type which has its SynergyMeaning set to WAAR.
     
  7. Set up a Grade assessment area to store the overall result, with the following settings:
    • set the Result Type of Heading which has a SynergyMeaning of Heading
    • 
    clear the Show on Screen field
    • select the Overall Result field
    • set the Overall Seq to 1.
  8. Set up a Percentage assessment area to store the average results, with the following settings:
    • set the Result Type of Heading which has a SynergyMeaning of Heading
    • 
    clear the Show on Screen field
    • select the Overall Result field
    • set the Overall Seq to 2.
  9. Select the assessment code and set the targets. See Subject Assessment Maintenance - Summary tab - Targets sub-tab in the Assessments and reports manual.
  10. Assign the assessment code to the classes. See Class Maintenance - General tab in the Assessments and reports manual.


After configuring WAAR settings
Once you have configured Synergetic for WAAR results entry:

  1. Enter all of the WAAR results for each of the classes. See Maintaining student results in the Assessments and reports manual.
  2. Calculate the results. See Calculating the assessment results in the Assessments and reports manual.
  3. Print the WAAR results. See Printing WAAR results in the Assessments and reports manual.
