Creating a numeric result type for calculated assessment areas

If you have security access to the maintain lookup tables you can add a numeric result type to use when creating calculated assessment areas. See Subject Assessment Maintenance - Area tab - Formula sub-tab.
The usual method of maintaining lookup tables is using Lookup Table Maintenance. See luReportResultType lookup table in the System maintenance manual.


To add a new Result Type from the Area sub-tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window:

  1. Add a new assessment area for the calculated result. See Creating new subject assessment areas.
    The Area sub-tab of the Area tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window is displayed.
  2. Right click on the Result Type field.
    The following menu is displayed.
  3. Select Add New Lookup Table Entry (luReportResultType).
    The Add Lookup Record - luReportResultType window is displayed.
  4. Update the Code and Description fields.
  5. Select the NumericFlag field.
  6. Click .
    The new Result Type is added and available to use with the selected assessment area.
