Maintaining student reports lookup tables

Some aspects of the student assessments and reports function can be configured to suit your organisation's needs.

luReportResultClassification

Used by:

  • New Zealand schools. The result classification is used to withdraw students from an NCEA (National Certificates of Educational Achievement) standard. NCEA is part of the New Zealand National Qualifications Framework.
  • Some Australian schools. The result classification is used to indicate students whose results are not comparable to other students in the class, such as overachievers.

luReportResultGroup

Used to group assessment areas together, giving extra control for an administrator to lock results entry for a particular group. For example, unlock interim results when ready.

Used to link class assessments to a single assessment. The results are then ranked and standardised by a custom calculation procedure.

luReportResultType

Used to define a set of allowed values that teachers can select for this assessment area.

For example:

  • A+, A, B+, B, and so on
  • 0-100.

luReportResultTypeMaskExpanded

Used to give an expanded view of the Mask field from the luReportResultType lookup table.

This is sometimes used to adjust the percentage used for calculated figures.

luReportStyle

  • Set the field width and character styles used (font and so on) when teachers enter:
  • comments
  • topic comments, in Student Results Maintenance in Synergetic.
  • Set restrictions about the number of characters, lines and words entered.
  • Determine whether to:
  • allow printing of individual classes
  • control the printing of individual classes based on a tutor group.
  • Determine whether the Crystal Report is responsible for its own grouping of the classes.

Used to add additional combined reports to the start or end of a student's group of reports. Used:

  • in the Community Portal
  • when printing student reports.
