Import_Export Student Data - SA GOV tab

South Australian schools can use the SA GOV tab of the Import/Export Student Data window to export the Persistent Non-Attendance Report required by the South Australian Government.

Note: You must set the Value of the RegionCode configuration setting to SA to view this tab. See RegionCode configuration setting.

Note: You must map outbound Synergetic lookup table values to the values expected by the South Australian Government. For more information about the demographic mapping requirements of each state, see Using the Interface Settings window.

 Opening the SA GOV tab

To open the SA GOV tab:

  1. Select Module > Students > Student Data Import/Export from the main menu.
    The Import/Export Student Data window is displayed.

    Tip: You can also access the student import and export functions by clicking .

  2. Click the SA GOV tab.
    The SA GOV tab of the Import/Export Student Data window is displayed.

Note: Absences are treated as unauthorised absences when the entered absence has an absence type mapped to one of the following SAGOV values:

  • N (Not Approved)
  • U (Unexplained)
  • Z (School following up).

  • This field value is the total of the following three columns.
HCode N (not approved)Total number of days the student was absent with an absence type of N (Not approved).

  • Absences count towards this total when they have an absence type mapped to the SAGOV value of N (Not approved).
  • You can map luAbsenceType values to SAGOV values using the SAGOV interface setting. See Using the Interface Settings window.
  • Once mapping is complete, absences are recorded towards this total when they are entered with an Absence Type field value mapped to the SAGOV value of N (Not approved). See Recording absence slips.
ICode U (Unexplained)Total number of days the student was absent with an absence type of U (Unexplained).

JCode Z (School Following Up)Total number of days the student was absent with an absence type of Z (School Following Up).

Date From/To

Select a date range to include all qualifying absences within the specified range.

Note: These fields are automatically populated with the required term dates based on the term selected in the Term field (see above).

Year Level From/ToSelect a year level range to include all students within the specified range.
Include External Students

Select this field to include students enrolled at another school that are undertaking classes at your organisation.

Note: Students are treated as external students when their student status on the Status sub-tab of the School tab of Current Student Maintenance has a SynergyMeaning of EXTERNAL. See Current Student Maintenance - School tab - Status sub-tab.
