Import_Export Student Data - QCAA tab

Use the QCAA tab to import and export data as required by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA). You can:

Export the Register New Student file used to register new students in the QCAA Student Management System. See Exporting the Register New Student File.
Import the Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) file produced by the QCAA that is used to update student LUI details in Synergetic. See Importing the Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) file.

Note: The RABS, SDCS and SDCSLUI files are obsolete.

Note: You will only see this tab if the RegionCode configuration setting value is set to QLD. See RegionCode configuration setting.

Important: You must map outbound Synergetic lookup table values to the values expected by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) using the QCAA interface setting. see Using the Interface Settings window.

Queensland organisations use these mapped values for QCAA exports and the Queensland Demographic export. See Import_Export Student Data - Demographic tab.

Opening the QCAA tab

To open the QCAA tab:

Select Module > Students > Student Data Import/Export from the main menu.
The WA SCSA tab of the Import/Export Student Data window is displayed.
Tip: You can also access student import and export functions by clicking .
Click the QCAA tab.
The QCAA tab of the Import/Export Student Data window is displayed.

Import/Export Student Data - QCAA tab fields and buttons
Fields

Field	Description
Mode	Select the mode of the window. You can select: Export to export a Register New Student File.csv file used to register new students in the QCAA Student Management System. See Exporting the Register New Student File. Note: The export will include any students that meet the selection criteria and do not have a Learner Unique Identifier recorded in the Government Student Number field of either: • Future Student Maintenance - Codes tab • Current Student Maintenance - Codes tab • Current Student Maintenance - Codes bar • Past Student Maintenance - Codes tab. Import LUI used to import the Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) file. See Importing the Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) file. Note: The import will populate the Studies Code field with the QSA Student Number and the Government Student Number field with the LUI. Export File	Select the file to export. Note: The RABS, SDCS and SDCSLUI files are obsolete.

	Register New Student File	Used to export a Register New Student File.csv file used to register new students in the QCAA Student Management System. Register New Student file field configurations Error rendering macro 'excerpt-include' : User 'null' does not have permission to view the page 'Register New Student File'.
Process Date	Date the export was completed.
Year Level From / To	Range of year levels to export.
Include Blank Studies Codes	Include students who have blank studies code values.
File Name	File name and location of either: Register New Student file to be exported LUI file to be imported.
Progress	Progress of the import.
