luJobPositionNotificationTypes lookup table

The luJobPositionNotificationTypes lookup table is used to define:

  • the types of notifications Synergetic manages
  • the method by which these notifications are sent
  • the message contained in the notification
  • when notifications are sent.

See Job Position Maintenance - Notifications tab in the Human resources manual.

Unique code identifying the notification type.

Description of the notification type.

Type of event that triggers this notification to be sent. Available values include:

  • JobPosIncDue / JobPosReviewDue - pending job position increments or pending job position review
  • JobPosAwardChg - job position award changes
  • JobPosChg - job position changes

Select if this notification type can be used.

Action Synergetic should perform for this notification type. Currently, Synergetic emails the specified staff members.

Subject line of the notification email sent by Synergetic to the specified staff members.
Note: The name of the staff member that the notification relates to is appended to the end of the subject line. For example, Fred Smith has requested some professional development training; the notification email sent would have the subject line "PD Request for Fred Smith".

Body of the notification email sent by Synergetic to the specified staff members.
Note: The email body is the same for all notifications of this type. Names or extra information cannot be added to a specific notification.

Number of days prior to the event that the notification should be sent.
For example, Fred Smith has a job position increment in three weeks' time. If the AutoNotifyDaysBefore is 15, then 15 days before the increment is due, Synergetic sends out a notification email to the Human resources manager.
Note: This only applies to events with set due dates like job position increments. Ad-hoc events like leave requests, award changes etc ignore this field.
