Job Position Maintenance - Notifications tab
Notifications can be automatically sent to staff when certain events occur. For example, you can set up notifications to automatically inform the Human resources department when a staff member's performance review is coming up. Currently, Synergetic sends all notifications via email.
Use the Notifications tab to view and maintain notifications for job positions. Notifications are displayed in the grid:
- In bold font, for default notifications that apply to all job positions. For example, all personal development requests should notify the Human resources manager.
- In regular font, for specific notifications that apply only to the currently selected job position. For example, the head of the English department wants to be notified when an English teacher has a performance review.
Specific notifications can override default notifications, so the default notification no longer applies to the selected job position. For example, the default notification may notify the Human resources manager of impending performance reviews. A specific notification for the Senior Management job position may override this default notification and instead notify the CEO. If the specific notification does not override the default one, both notifications are used. That is, both the Human resources manager and the CEO are notified of the impending job review.
You can:
- create new specific notifications
- modify or delete existing notifications
- set specific notifications to override default notifications.
Note: Use the Default Notifications window to add, modify or delete default notifications. See Default Notifications window.
