Subject Assessment Maintenance - Summary tab - Security sub-tab

Use the Security sub-tab to determine which users are authorised to use:

  • the selected subject assessment
  • all subject assessments.

In following example:

  • Steve Lynch (slynch) is authorised to use and edit the Year 10 English subject assessment. He may also be authorised to use other individual subjects such as mathematics. As Steve only teaches maths and English he only needs access to these subject assessments.
  • Three users are authorised to access and maintain all subject assessments. Anelie (asomodio) and John (jlynch) are learning area leaders and have security access to all learning areas (and subjects). sa is the default system administrator user.

 

 Opening the Security sub-tab

To open the Security sub-tab:

  1. Select Module > Assessments > Subject Assessment Area Maintenance.
    The Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window is displayed.
    Tip: You can also access the Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window by clicking .
  2. Update the search criteria.
  3. Click .
  4. Select the subject to maintain assessments for. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas.

    The Summary sub-tab of the Summary tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window is displayed. 
  5. Click the Security sub-tab.
    The Security tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window is displayed.

Login Name

User's login name that has been assigned rights to update this subject assessment. For example, subject area leaders or subject teachers might have this authority.
Note: Individual users may have been assigned rights to update other subjects - navigate between subjects to see which ones.

Add a user to this subject assessment.
The Users not authorised to this assessment window is displayed.

Select the required user login and click .
Note: You cannot add a user to this assessment if they are already authorised to use all assessments.

Remove the selected user's authority to update this subject assessment.

Add a user to all subject assessments.
The Users not authorised to this assessment window is displayed.

Select the required user login and click .

Remove the selected user's authority to update all subject assessments.

Tip: You can add them to individual subject assessments instead.


Common buttons

Description

Switch to the Area tab to maintain information about the subject assessment areas associated with the current subject assessment. See Maintaining subject assessment areas.

Create a new subject assessment. See Creating new subject assessments.

Delete a subject assessment, if there are no associated classes.

Open the Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas.

Move to the sub-tab on the left of the current sub-tab of the Summary tab.

Move to the sub-tab on the right of the current sub-tab of the Summary tab.
