Creating bulk excursion absences

To create excursion absences in bulk:

  1. Select Students > Excursion Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Set Excursion Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Search for excursions. See Searching for excursions.
  3. Click the Absences bar.
    The Absences bar is displayed.
  4. Click .
    The Create Bulk Absences window is displayed.
  5. Select an Absence Type. See luAbsenceType lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
  6. Select a Reason. See luAbsenceReason lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
  7. Type a Comment to describe the absence.
  8. Select the Part of the Day the excursion takes place.
  9. Select Contact Made if you contacted the person to confirm the details of the absence event.
  10. Select Contact Rcvd if the person specified contacted you to confirm the details of the absence event.
  11. Select Note Made if a note has been created to send home with the student.
  12. Select Note Rcvd if a signed note has been received from the parent.
  13. Select Approved if the reason given for the absence meets the policy in force at your organisation.
  14. Click .
