Community Maintenance - Flags bar

Use the Flags bar to:

  • specify whether the community member receives particular types of correspondence
  • record the death of a community member.

 

 Opening the Flags Bar

To open the Flags bar:

  1. Select Community from the SynWeb main menu.=
    The Community Maintenance Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Search for a community member. See Searching for community members.
  3. Click on the Flags bar.

    Tip:
     You can click anywhere on a navigation bar other than the caption to open it.

Mailing Flags fields

Field

Description

Receives Mail

Whether the community member receives mail.

Receives Magazine

Whether the community member receives magazines.

Receives Solicitation

Whether the community member receives solicitation.

Receives Raffle

Whether the community member receives raffle promotions.

Reason for Change

Reason for adding or removing a flag, if applicable.

Other Flags fields

Field

Description

Include in Directory

Include the community member in your organisation's directory of contact details.

Provide Directory

Receives a copy of your organisation's directory of contact details.

Publish to Associated Organisation

Publish community member's details to associated organisations.

Spouse

Displays whether the community member has a spouse who is also a community member.

Deceased

Whether the community member is deceased.
To set this flag, click . See below.

Date

Date the community member became deceased.

Click to mark the community member as deceased.

Note: The link with the spouse community member record needs to be broken before the Deceased and Deceased Date fields can be updated. See Breaking links to a spouse.

Tip: To break spouse links, click the Break Spouse Links icon in the Community Maintenance toolbar.

Community User Flags and Addresses User Flags area fields
Community user flags and addresses user flags are defined by the Synergetic administrator at your organisation.
Either:

  • select the flag if it applies to the community member
  • clear the flag if it no longer applies to the community member.

Search Filter

The Search Filter field is located at the top of the Community Selector. This field can be used to filter community members by any of the information displayed in the Community Selector.

Display the Community Maintenance Search Criteria window.
You can update the search criteria and search for new community members. See Searching for community members.

Create a new task relating to the community member. See Managing tasks in the Introduction manual.

Click to break spouse links for the selected community member. See Breaking links to a spouse.

Click to flip spouses and make the spouse contact the primary contact in the relationship. See Flipping spouses.

Click to refresh information for the selected community member.
