Adding stored personal comments
You can create your own bank of personal (or staff) comments. These are only available for you to use.

To create a new personal comment:
- Open the Single window of Results Maintenance. See Results Maintenance - Single window.
Tip: You can also manage personal comments when using the Class window. See Results Maintenance - Class window.
- Select the student.
The student's results are displayed. - Click
The Comment Bank window is displayed. next to the required comment field. - Click
The Staff Personal Comments window is displayed. See Maintaining the staff personal comment bank. . - Click
The Staff Personal Comments window is displayed with fields. . - Type the Topic, Rating and Comment fields for the new comment.
Tip: Use the question mark character (?) wherever you want the student's name to appear; SynWeb automatically inserts the student's preferred name when the comment is used. You can also use male pronouns, such as He; these are converted to their equivalent, such as She, if the student's gender is female.
Note: As you type or edit a comment, SynWeb updates the number of words and lines the comment uses. Check these against the maximum comment size for your organisation's reports to ensure the entire comment fits on the report.

The comment is added and the Staff Personal Comments window is redisplayed. button. - Repeat steps 6 through 7 until you have added all your comments.

The Comment Bank window is redisplayed. . - Click
The comment field is updated with the selection from the Comment Bank window. .
