Creating subject assessment areas for entering expected results
You can create subject assessment areas for entering the results students are expected to achieve.
In this example a school using the Victorian Curriculum F-10 framework is creating a subject assessment area called Listening and Speaking (Expected) to enter the expected results of Listening and Speaking.
Once the subject assessment area is created teachers can enter expected results in Results Maintenance.
Note: Victorian Curriculum schools can view expected results in the AssessmentRep5VC and AssessmentRep5VCSUM reports. See Key assessment and reporting reports.
To create a subject assessment area for entering expected results:
- Select Module > Assessments > Subject Assessment Area Maintenance.
The Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window is displayed.Tip: You can also access the Set Subject Assessment Search Criteria window by clicking .
Update the search criteria.
Click .
Select the subject containing the subject assessment area that requires an expected result. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas.
The Summary sub-tab of the Summary tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window is displayed.Select the subject assessment area that requires an expected result. For example, Listening and Speaking.
The Area sub-tab of the Area tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window is displayed.Create a new subject assessment area. You can create:
• Standard subject assessment area. See Creating new subject assessment areas.
• Victorian Curriculum subject assessment area. See Creating new Victorian Curriculum subject assessment areas.
The new subject assessment area is displayed.Type (Expected) after the heading text in the Heading field.
Click .
Select the Expected result field.

The new subject assessment is displayed in the subject assessment area grid of the Subject Assessment Selector.
