Publishing documents on the Community Portal

Documents are not available to community members on the portal by default.

To allow community members to view documents:

  1. Select Module > System > Group/User Security Maintenance.
  2. Select Users.
  3. Create the user zSynergeticCommunityPortal. See Creating new users in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

    Note:
    The login name of the user must be zSynergeticCommunityPortal or your documents won't be visible to community members.
     
  4. Create the group SynCommPortal. See Creating and configuring new security groups in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

    Note:
    You can add these permissions to any group or use another group instead of SynCommPortal.
     
  5. Select the zSynergeticCommunityPortal user.
  6. Click.
  7. Select the SynCommPortal group.
  8. Click .
  9. Select the Groups radio button.
  10. Select the SynCommPortal group.
  11. Select DocumentClassification from the Resources drop-down list.
  12. Select the Select permission for all document types you want to publish to the portal.
  13. Close the Group/User Security Maintenance window.
  14. Select Module > System > Lookup Tables Maintenance.
  15. Select luDocumentClassification.
  16. Select the following permissions to allow specific types of community members to view documents.

CommPortalVisibleForStudentLivesWithFlag

Allow community members who live with a student to view these documents.

CommPortalVisibleForStudentReportFlag

Allow community members who receive copies of a student's report to view these documents.

CommPortalVisibleForSelfFlag

Allow community members to view their own documents.

CommPortalVisibleForSpouseFlag

Allow community members to view their spouse's documents.
