Publishing documents on the Community Portal
Documents are not available to community members on the portal by default.
To allow community members to view documents:
- Select Module > System > Group/User Security Maintenance.
- Select Users.
- Create the user zSynergeticCommunityPortal. See Creating new users in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Note: The login name of the user must be zSynergeticCommunityPortal or your documents won't be visible to community members.
- Create the group SynCommPortal. See Creating and configuring new security groups in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Note: You can add these permissions to any group or use another group instead of SynCommPortal.
- Select the zSynergeticCommunityPortal user.
- Click.
- Select the SynCommPortal group.
- Click .
- Select the Groups radio button.
- Select the SynCommPortal group.
- Select DocumentClassification from the Resources drop-down list.
- Select the Select permission for all document types you want to publish to the portal.
- Close the Group/User Security Maintenance window.
- Select Module > System > Lookup Tables Maintenance.
- Select luDocumentClassification.
- Select the following permissions to allow specific types of community members to view documents.

CommPortalVisibleForSelfFlag | Allow community members to view their own documents. |
CommPortalVisibleForSpouseFlag | Allow community members to view their spouse's documents. |
