Summary

In this topic, we will show how to apply the 2024 Victorian Curriculum Maths 2.0 strands by:

  • loading the 2024 Victorian Curriculum framework into the Subject Assessment Other Definition Maintenance window.
  • deleting the pre-2024 Victorian Curriculum Maths strands.

Additionally, we will briefly cover how to link the Maths 2.0 strands to subject assessment areas.

Loading the 2024 Victorian Curriculum framework

To load the 2024 Victorian Curriculum framework:

  1. Select Module > Assessments > Subject Assessment Other Definition Maintenance from the main menu.
    The Subject Assessment Other Definition Maintenance window is displayed. 


  2. Select 2024 using the Year field.
  3. Click .
    The Load/Add Curriculum Framework window is displayed.
  4. Select VICCURRIC using the Framework drop-down list.
  5. Click .
    The Confirm window is displayed.
  6. Click .
    The following dialog is displayed.

    The 2024 Victorian Curriculum framework is loaded.

Deleting the Pre-2024 Victorian Curriculum Maths strands

To delete the Pre-2024 Victorian Curriculum Maths strands:

  1. Ensure 2024 is selected in the Year field.
  2. Select the VCMAT curriculum area group in the Curriculum Area Group grid area.
  3. Click  in the Level 1 (Curriculum Area Group) grid area.

    The Confirm Delete window is displayed.
  4. Type DELETE into the Enter the word DELETE to continue field.
  5. Click .

Linking the Maths 2.0 strands to Subject Assessment Areas

For Mathematics 2.0, once you have loaded the Maths 2.0 strands and deleted the pre-2024 Maths strands, you must as a minimum have the strand VC2M - Mathematics.

If you have chosen to also use them, you may additionally have one or more of the new Mathematics strands, which you can Add manually, or if loaded prior to v71.18 they will be present but In-Active.

(Note: If these were added prior  to v71.18, they will have been inactivated by any Update > 71.18.  To have them available for Copy to the Next year, they will need to be Activated.)
