AutoGenerate configuration setting
Keys
Key | Value |
---|---|
1 | FutureStudents |
2 | Applications |
3 | AutoGenerate |
Description
The AutoGenerate setting is used to automatically generate an application record for all years and year levels past the selected enrol year level when a new future student is created.
For example, if a future student applies for year 3 in 2016 then these application records are created:
Enrol Year | Campus | Year Level |
---|---|---|
2016 | J | 3 |
2017 | J | 4 |
2018 | J | 5 |
2019 | J | 6 |
2020 | S | 7 |
2021 | S | 8 |
2022 | S | 9 |
2023 | S | 10 |
2024 | S | 11 |
2025 | S | 12 |
All of the application records have the status code which has a SynergyMeaning of APPLICATION. Status codes are defined in lookup table luFutureStatus. See luFutureStatus lookup table.
This process can also be done for individual students from the Applications tab of the Future Student Maintenance window. See Creating future student applications in bulk in the Future students manual.
Default value
The default value is True.
Setting a different value
Clear the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to False. See Maintaining configuration files.
New future students do not have multiple application records.
Note: If you choose not to automatically generate application records, for year levels past the selected enrolment year level, you can still create these applications in the Future Student Maintenance window. See Creating future student applications in bulk in the Future students manual.
