Update SAML Certificate \ Error SAML212: Signed SAML response does not match certificate

Synergetic doesn't support SAML metadata. Therefore if there is a certificate update at IDP we'll have to manually update the SAML certificate for SynWeb and CommunityPortal.

  • Download and install Google Chrome
  • Add Chrome SAML Decoder extension
  • Open SynWeb / CommunityPortal URL in Google Chrome
  • In SAML Decoder copy new certificate value



  • From SynWeb / CommunityPortal config file find the certificate name



  • Go to certificate folder
    • SynWeb - C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SynWeb\Site\Certificates
    • CommunityPortal - C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SynergeticCommunityPortal\Site\Certificates
  • Backup existing certificate before making any changers
  • Open the certificate in notepad
  • Replace the new certificate value captured from SAML Decoder
