Staff Kiosk - My Leave tab

Staff members can use the My Leave tab to maintain their leave by:

  • viewing leave entitlement balances
  • viewing records of leave taken
  • applying, editing or cancelling existing leave applications.

 Opening the My Leave tab

To open the My Leave window:

  1. Select Human Resources > Staff Kiosk from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Personal tab of the My Details window is displayed.
  2. Click .
    The My Leave tab is displayed.

Leave Entitlement (as at last pay run) grid area fields

Field

Description

Project entitlements to preview date (FTE Only)

Select to view leave entitlements for a chosen future date.

Note: Projections are based on the assumption that a staff member continues working at their current full-time equivalent (FTE).

Preview Date

Select the date you want to view projected leave entitlements for.

Leave

Type of leave. The default leave type is Holiday.

Note: Select a type of leave to see relevant Leave Taken transactions.

Balance

Balance of leave entitlement.

Leave Taken (as at last pay run) area fields and buttons

Note:
The Leave Application area is only displayed if the ShowLeaveApplicationFlag configuration setting is set to True. See ShowLeaveApplicationFlag configuration setting in the System maintenance manual.

Select the date range that you want to view your leave applications for.

Show pending applications only

Select to show only leave applications with a status of Pending.

Leave Type

Type of leave applied for.

Start Date

The date the leave starts.

End Date/Return Date

The date the leave ends. The name of this field is:

  • End Date when employees return to work on their last day of leave
  • Return Date when employees return to work on the first day of work after their leave. 

Note: You can configure whether employees return to work on their last day of leave or the first day of work after leave using the Leave Date of Return is Last Day of Leave field on the Payroll tab of Synergetic Financial Maintenance. See Synergetic Financial Configuration - Payroll tab.

Duration

Duration of the leave requested.

Note: Each leave type is measured using a specified unit. For example, sick leave may be measured in days and long service leave may be measured in weeks.

Comment

Comment about the leave application request.

Status

Status of the leave application request.

Actioned ByManager that actioned the leave application request.

Buttons

Button

Description

Launch the Leave Application window to apply for a new leave application. See Submitting leave application requests.

Launch the Leave Application window to edit details for the selected leave application.

Cancel a pending leave application request.

Note: You cannot cancel approved or rejected leave application requests.
