Staff Kiosk - Timesheets window

Use the Timesheets window to:

  • view timesheet entries automatically submitted from your attendance records and staff schedule appointments
  • submit the hours you have worked in the current pay period
  • view timesheet entries that require more information from the timesheet approver.


Note: The Staff Kiosk - Timesheets window is only available when the Timesheet Mode field on the General tab of Payroll Maintenance is set to Schedule Only or Enabled. See Payroll Maintenance - General tab in the Synergetic Payroll manual.

 

 Opening the Timesheets window

To open the Timesheets window:

  1. Select Human Resources > Staff Kiosk from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Personal tab of the My Details window is displayed.
  2. Click  .
    The Timesheets window is displayed.

Fields

Note: Modifying these fields automatically refreshes the grid area.

Display timesheet entries from this date.

Show Approved

Display timesheet entries that have been approved.

Show Denied

Display timesheet entries that have been denied.

Note: Timesheet entries that have been returned with a request for more information are indicated by . Add more information to the comment field and resubmit these timesheet entries.

Select to include the entry in your submission

Note: If you do not select this field, the entry is not submitted, even if there is information in the other fields.

Date

Date of the timesheet entry.

Start Time

Time you started working.

Hours

Hours you worked for this entry.

This field is automatically calculated. For example, a timesheet entry with a Start Time of 8:00AM and an End of 11:45AM would have an Hours value of 3.

Note: This field does not display if the Timesheet:Calculation:UseBreak configuration setting is set to True. See UseBreak configuration setting in the System maintenance manual.

Minutes

Minutes you worked for this entry.

This field is automatically calculated. For example, a timesheet entry with a Start Time of 8:00AM and an End of 11:45AM would have a Minutes value of 45.

Note: This field does not display if the Timesheet:Calculation:UseBreak configuration setting is set to True. See UseBreak configuration setting in the System maintenance manual.

Hours Break

The number of hours you took as a break in this entry. For example, if you worked from 9am to 12pm, and then from 1pm to 6:30pm, the Hours Break would be 1.

Note: This field only displays if the Timesheet:Calculation:UseBreak configuration setting is set to True. See UseBreak configuration setting in the System maintenance manual.

Minutes Break

The number of minutes, in addition to the hours, you took as break this entry. For example, if you worked from 9am to 12pm, and then from 12:30pm to 6:30pm, the Minutes Break would be 30.

Note: This field only displays if the Timesheet:Calculation:UseBreak configuration setting is set to True. See UseBreak configuration setting in the System maintenance manual.

End

Time you stopped working.

Note: This field only displays if the Timesheet:Show:EndTime configuration setting is set to True. See EndTime configuration setting in the System maintenance manual.

Pay Code

Pay code for this timesheet entry.

Note: Timesheet entries must have a pay code in order to be imported into the Synergetic payroll module.

Comment

A comment for the timesheet entry.

Status






Status of the timesheet entry:

Pending.

More Information Needed.

Submitted.

Approved.

Rejected.

Stat Mod. By

Name of the person who last modified the status.

Class Code

Class code for the timesheet entry.

Stat Mod. On

Date the status was last modified.

Attendance

Number of classes that attendance has been entered for.

Buttons

Button

Description

Insert a new timesheet entry after the selected timesheet entry.

Delete the selected timesheet entry.

Withdraw the selected timesheet entry.

Note: You can only withdraw timesheet entries with a status of Submitted.

Save the timesheet entries without submitting them.

Tip: You can use this feature to add each timesheet entry as you complete it and submit them all at once at the end of the pay period.

Submit the selected timesheets for approval.

Note: Only selected timesheets are submitted.

Add a new timesheet entry using the Add New TimeSheet window.
