Installing the Syn Service Suite for VSN

To install the Syn Service Suite:

  1. Open Synergetic.
  2. Select Help > About from the Main menu.
    The About Synergetic window is displayed.
  3. Check the installed version of Synergetic using the Build number field.
  4. Navigate to the \\EHG-FS-01\Toolbox folder.
  5. Open the folder corresponding to the build version.
  6. Open the folder corresponding to the build number.
     
  7. Copy the SynServiceSuite zip folder to your downloads folder.
  8. Extract the contents of the zip folder.
  9. Run the SynServiceSuite installation file.
    The User Account Control window is displayed.
  10. Click .
    The Setup - Synergetic Service Suite - Select Destination Location window is displayed.
  11. Ensure the installation location is correct.

    Note: The default installation location is C:\SynergeticServices.

  12. Click .
    The Setup - Synergetic Service Suite - Ready to Install window is displayed.
  13. Click .
    The Setup - Synergetic Service Suite - Installing window is displayed.

    The Update SynServiceSuite Config File window is displayed.
  14. Double-click the DatabaseName field.
    The Database Selection Wizard window is displayed.
  15. Type your database username into the Username field.
  16. Type your database password into the Password field.
  17. Click .
    The Select the Database to Use grid area is updated.
  18. Click  next to the database corresponding to the build version. In this case, Synergetic_AUVIC_CDA_V70.
    The Update SynServiceSuite Config File window is redisplayed.
  19. Scroll down to the VSN fields.
  20. Ensure:

    • SynServiceVSNXMLFolder is populated with C:\temp\xml.
    • SynServiceVSNEnabledFlag field is populated with 1.

    Note: Default values are used for the remaining fields.

  21. Click .
  22. Click .

  23. In case this is a fresh install under an Admin command prompt type 

    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil C:\SynergeticServices\Service.Suite.exe
