Configuring VSN/VSR services

Victorian organisations are required to implement Victorian Student Number (VSN) for their students. This functionality impacts multiple areas of the Synergetic system including:

• configuration keys
• Synergetic service
• database tables, stored procedures and triggers.

Once VSN is configured for your organisation, you can maintain VSNs for students using the Government Student Number field on the:

• Create new student window . See Creating new students.
• Codes tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Codes tab.

Important: You must complete the steps in this section with a member of the Synergetic Systems Team. See Contact Synergetic Management Systems.

• Install the Syn Service Suite for VSN. See Installing the Syn Service Suite for VSN.
• Configure VSN configuration settings. See Configuring VSN configuration settings.
