Signing staff or students into the medical centre

To sign staff or students into the medical centre:

  1. Select Students > Medical Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Incidents tab of Medical Maintenance is displayed.
  2. Click .
    The Medical Incident window is displayed.
  3. Select the type of patient using the Person involved drop-down list. You can select:

    • Student
    • Community

  4. Type the name of the patient into the search field to locate their record.

    Note: The following window is displayed if the selected student or community member has open medical incidents. You can review the list of incidents and decide whether you need to create a new incident.



  5. Update the time the patient was admitted using the Time in field, if it is different to the displayed time. 
  6. Update the date the patient was admitted using the Date field, if it is different to the displayed time.
  7. Select the medical facility the patient was admitted to using the Location drop-down list.
  8. Select the type of medical incident using the Type of incident drop-down list. For example, Abrasion.
  9. Click .

Once you have signed the staff member or student into the medical centre, you can maintain their medical details using the Medical Maintenance tabs. See Maintaining medical details.
