Creating new menu items

To create a new menu item to link to a Custom Page or User form:

  1. Log in as a portal administrator. That is, listed as an Admin user in the Community Portal XML file.
  2. Click Configuration in the Admin Panel.

    The Main Menu Configuration Tool window is displayed.
  3. Click .
    The Create new menu item window is displayed.
  4. Select the type of page from the Type drop-down list, either:
    Custom Page
     User form.
  5. Select the available resources from the Resource drop-down list.


    Note:
    You can only view options in the Resource field when a custom HTML or ASPX file is stored in the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SynergeticCommunityPortal\Site\Pages directory.
     
  6. Type a unique Title for the menu item.
  7. Click .
    The menu item is created, if it does not already exist.
