Using the Action Centre window

Use the Action Centre to review and manage:

  • information messages
  • task messages
  • alert messages.

 

 Opening the Action Centre

To open the Description tab:

  1. Click .
    Note: The Action Centre icon displays a combination of red, green and blue flags depending on the currently active messages.
    The Action Centre Summary window is displayed.

    Tip: You can also click a link in the Action Centre Summary window to launch a specific message, task or alert in the Action Centre.
  2. Click .
    The Description tab of the Action Centre window is displayed.

Filter Action Centre messages by:

  • information message

Show Advanced Panel

Select to display the Advanced panel at the top of the window.

Text Filters fields

Type to filter by description text. For example, User task ready for commencement.

Summary

Type to filter by summary description text.

Originator

Type to filter by the originator name.

Originated by me

Select to set the originator as the current user.


Date Filter fields

Search for messages created within a date range.

Date Read/Actioned From/To

Search for messages actioned or read within a date range.

Grid area fields

Type of Action Centre message. Either:

  • information message
  • task message
  • alert message.

Description

Description of the Action Centre message.

Summary

Summary of the Action Centre message.

Status

Status of the Action Centre message.

Created

Date and time the Action Centre message was created.

Actioned

Whether the Action Centre message has been actioned.

Originator

Originator of the Action Centre message.

Mode

Mode of the Action Centre message. Messages can be either:

  • TargetedID messages sent to specific community IDs
  • Subscribers messages sent only to subscribers.

    Note: You can manage Action Centre message subscriptions in Group Security Maintenance. See Group/User Security Maintenance - Groups View.in the Synergetic System Maintenance manual.

User task fields

Field

Description

Summary

Type a summary for the Action Centre message.

Linked To

Community member linked to the Action Centre message.

Allocated To

Community member allocated to Action Centre message.
Note:
Clicking
automatically allocates the community ID linked to the current Synergetic user. Click to assign to another community member.


Common buttons

Button

Description

Update the number of unread/unactioned messages in each category.

Note:
Select the Show Advanced Panel field to display this button.

Select to display a greater portion of either:

  • main grid area
  • tabs area.

Mark all alerts as read.

Mark all information messages as read.

(Linked To)

Launches the default maintenance window for the type of community member or item linked to the task. The windows launched are:

  • Community Maintenance when linked to a Community Member
  • Creditor Maintenance when linked to a Creditor
  • Current Student Maintenance when linked to a Current Student
  • Debtor Maintenance when linked to a Debtor
  • Future Student Maintenance when linked to a Future Student
  • General Ledger Maintenance when linked to a General Ledger
  • Item Maintenance when linked to an Item
  • Job Position Maintenance when linked to a Job Position
  • Medical Maintenance when linked to a Medical Incident.

(Allocated To)

Launch Community Maintenance for the community member.

Add a link to a community member, creditor, debtor or student. Only visible when no link has been added to the user task.

Note:
You can link tasks to future students by linking to their community record.

Remove the current community link. Only visible when a community member or item is linked to the user task.

Reallocate the task to a different community member.

Clear the date filter fields.

Reset all filter fields.

Mark the selected information message as read.

Mark the selected alert message as read.

Mark the selected message as read and launch the associated Linked To maintenance record.

Apply changes based on selections in the grid area.

Apply changes based on selections in the grid area and launch the linked maintenance window.

Start the selected task.

On the Advanced tab:

  • the Start Date is set to the current date and time
  • the Task Status field is set to In Process.

Start the selected task and launch the associated Linked To maintenance record.

Complete the selected task.

On the Advanced tab:

  • the Completed Date is set to the current date and time
  • the Task Status field is set to Completed.

Complete the selected task and launch the associated Linked To maintenance record.

Save the current user task as a task template.

Open the User Task window to display the selected task.

Delete the selected task.

Apply changes to the selected task.

Cancel changes to the selected task.
