Creditor Maintenance - Payments tab

Use the Payments tab to view:

  • details of payments made
  • invoices relating to each of the payments
  • general ledger allocations for the invoices.

 Opening the Payments tab

To open the Payments tab:

  1. Select Module > Creditors > Creditor Maintenance.
    The Set Creditor Search Criteria window is displayed.
    Tip: You can also access the Set Creditor Search Criteria window by clicking .
  2. Search for the creditor. See Searching for creditors.
    The General tab of the Creditor Maintenance window is displayed.
  3. Click the Payments tab.
    The Payments tab of the Creditor Maintenance window is displayed.

Payments area fields

Field

Description

Payment Type

Method of payment. Values include:

  • CHQ
  • EFT.

Number

Cheque number if payment was by cheque.

Posting

Posting number.

Date

Date the payment was made.

Amount

Dollar amount of the payment.

Reconciled

Whether the payment has been reconciled. Reconciled payments are marked with a .

Note: This field is not editable. Payments must be reconciled using the Bank reconciliation feature. See Bank reconciliation in the General ledger manual.

Reconciled Date

The date the payment was reconciled, if at all.

Invoices Processed From This Payment area fields

Description

Date

Date of the invoice.

Invoice

Invoice number.

Description

Invoice description.

Amount

Amount of the invoice, including GST.

Local Amt

Amount of the invoice in your organisation's default currency, including GST.

Posting No

Posting number.

Seq

Internal sequence number of this transaction.

Buttons

Button

Description

View general ledger allocations for the highlighted invoice.

Tip: You can double click on the invoice to display the window.

Launch the Invoice History window to view the invoice history of the selected creditor.
