Producing tax invoices
Synergetic can produce tax invoices on demand. You can print a tax invoice instead of or as well as a normal statement.
There are several differences between the functionality of statements and tax invoices. Statements list receipts, while tax invoices:
- do not list debtor receipts
- mark taxable items with an asterisk
- print a total of the tax components separately.
Both tax invoices and statements list charges (GST-inclusive).
To set up tax invoices, see Setting up tax invoices.
Tax invoices can be produced from the following three different modules of Synergetic:
- Debtors. See Producing a tax invoice from the Debtors module.
Note: Some organisations have set up their normal statements to also flag GST-related transactions (with an asterisk) and show total GST on new transactions appearing on the statement. This provides a combined Tax Invoice/Statement which is the recommended approach for Synergetic.
- Sales. See Producing a tax invoice from the Sales module.
- General ledger. See Generating manual invoices.
