Development Maintenance - Prospect Tracking tab - Prospect Details sub-tab

Use the Prospect Details sub-tab of the Prospect Tracking tab to maintain details of:

  • the appeal that the prospect has been nominated for
  • their inclinations, capacity and indications for the appeal.

Then you can add activities if the prospect is invited to any activity that is held to raise funds for the appeal. See Development Maintenance - Prospect Tracking tab - Activity sub-tab.

 Opening the Prospect Details sub-tab

To open the Prospect Details sub-tab:

  1. Select Module > Development > Development Maintenance from the main menu.
    The Set Development Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Select the donor or prospect. See Searching for donors and prospects.
    The Personal tab of the Development Maintenance window is displayed.
  3. Click the Prospect Details tab.
    The Prospect Details tab of the Development Maintenance window is displayed.

Description

Appeal

Code for the appeal. See Appeal Description.

Appeal Description

Appeal that the prospective donor is being tracked against. See What is an appeal?

Prmry

Whether to send communications to the primary contact only. The default is to include the spouse in all communications.

Capacity

Estimate of the amount that the prospect could donate or has the capacity to donate. Also known as the rating of the donor.

Inclination

Likelihood that the prospect will make the donation that they have indicated.

Indication

Amount the prospect has indicated that they will donate to the appeal.

Motivation

Reason the prospect is interested in making donations.

Knowledge

Level of knowledge the prospect has regarding the fundraising appeal.

Staff 1 / Staff 2

Staff members assisting with tracking this prospect.

Volunteer 1 / Volunteer 2

Community members assisting with tracking this prospect.

Appeal

Appeal that the prospective donor is being tracked against. See What is an appeal?

Fund

Where donations from this prospect are to be used in the organisation. See What is a fund?

Prospect Status

Status of the appeal that the prospect has been nominated for.

Typical values are:

  • Waiting
  • Confirmed
  • Not Received.

    Note:
    The values can be defined for your organisation and used for your reporting or processing.

Primary Only

Whether to send communications to the primary contact only. The default is to include the spouse in all communications. Select to send communications to the primary contact only.

Capacity

Estimate of the amount that the prospect could donate or has the capacity to donate. Also known as the rating of the donor.

Note:
This field can be left blank.

Indication

Amount the prospect has indicated that they will donate to the appeal.

Note:
This field can be left blank.

Inclination

Likelihood that the prospect will make the donation that they have indicated.

Motivation

Reason the prospect is interested in making donations.

Knowledge

Level of knowledge the prospect has regarding the fund raising appeal.

Staff 1 / Staff 2

Staff members assisting with tracking this prospect.

Staff members need to be members of the DVPTS prospect tracking constituency before they can be added. See Maintaining staff in the Human resources manual.

Volunteer 1 / Volunteer 2

Community members assisting with tracking this prospect.

Note:
Volunteers need to be members of the DVPTV prospect tracking constituency before they can be added. See Maintaining community members in the Community manual.
