Parent Teacher Interview Maintenance - Schedule tab

Use the Schedule tab to maintain schedules for parent teacher interview sessions for a given cycle.

The parent teacher interviews for the session are displayed in a grid showing staff within each time slot. The parents of the selected students, along with the student's preferred name, are displayed.

Tip: You can customise the colours used to display interview statuses using the luPTIRequestStatus lookup table. See luPTIRequestStatus lookup table in the System maintenance manual.

 Opening the Schedule tab

To open the Schedule tab:

  1. Select Students > Parent Teacher Interview Maintenance from the main menu.
    The Set Parent Teacher Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Select the parent teacher interview cycle.
    See Searching for parent teacher interviews.
  3. Click the Schedule tab.
    The Schedule tab of the Parent Teacher Interview Maintenance window is displayed.

Description

Session

Select the session from the drop-down list for the current cycle. For example, you can have afternoon and evening parent teacher interview sessions. You define these on the sessions tab.

View Selection




Select the view to limit the staff displayed, if required.

Staff for Contact

Display staff members for the selected parent contact or student.

Also display any staff members who have interviews scheduled.

Interviews for Contact

Display staff members who have interviews scheduled with the selected parent contact or student.

Description

Set the current session as the default parent teacher interview session. The default session is displayed when you next open the Schedule tab of Parent Teacher Interview Maintenance.

Tip:
This is useful just before leaving this area. On your return you can take up where you left off.


In addition, the following explanatory screen is displayed.



Tip:
To clear the default, right click the button and select Clear Default Selection.

Select a parent contact or a student to schedule a parent teacher interview for them. See Selecting contacts for scheduling parent teacher interviews.

Launch Student Maintenance. See Maintaining current students in the Current students manual.

Send an email to the contact's email address.

Copy the parent teacher interview schedule to the Microsoft Windows clipboard for the selected contact.

You can then paste the schedule into a Windows application for later use.

View the parent teacher interview schedule online for the selected contact.
