Summary

We are pleased to announce that Version 71.57 of the Synergetic suite of products is available now. 

The changes in this release includes improvements* and bug fixes.

*Please note that most releases are likely to include security enhancements that are not explicitly mentioned. This is to avoid exposing details of vulnerabilities for schools on earlier releases. We recommend upgrading as frequently as practicable.

Users in the SynSuperUser group able to import files with blank document classification despite the default value being present at the time of upload

Fixed issue where a user logged into Synergetic as a SynSuperUser imports a document into DocMan using the default classification code. However that classification code was not saved and the document was saved without a classification code. The issue does not occur for non-SynSuperUser logins
This issue has now been fixed.

Fixed issue in SynWeb where user who does not have permission to any Document Classification is able to upload files via DocMan. File is prevented from being uploaded and user is notified with an error message.

On the Payment Plans page in the Community Portal, inactive debtors were previously unable to view charges associated with their spouse's active debtor account. This issue has now been resolved.

Add Referrer-Policy header to Community Portal

Changed Referrer-Policy header in Community Portal to same-origin to enhance privacy. As a result, the Referer header should no longer be sent to external sites when navigating away from Community Portal, which may cause a loss in functionality for the external sites if they rely on the Referer header. The previous behaviour caused the default Referer header (strict-origin-when-cross-origin) to be sent and can be re-enabled by setting the CommunityPortal|ReferrerPolicy|UseDefault config value to true.

The text in the Payment Plans page in the Community Portal, which indicates the user’s selected payment plan, can now be configured using one of the four configuration keys.
