Using the Subject Assessment Other Definition Maintenance window

Adjust the year to display the curriculum definitions for the year, if available. 

Copy an existing curriculum framework from one year to another. See Copying existing curriculum frameworks to new years. 

Unique code used within Synergetic for the framework. 

Framework name. 

Name used for the curriculum area group at your organisation. 

Previously displayed as Strands grid area. 

Name used for the curriculum area at your organisation. 

Previously displayed as Domains grid area. 

Name used for the strand or mode at your organisation. 

Previously displayed as Dimensions grid area. 

Click to load a pre-defined framework. See Loading pre-defined curriculum frameworks.

Tip: You can add custom levels to curriculum frameworks. See Manually adding custom levels to curriculum frameworks.

Delete the selected framework and all its three levels of definitions. 

Note: This will also remove any links to subject assessment areas, which will need re-linking to the new curriculum entries after adding/loading frameworks. 

Unique code used within Synergetic for level 1 curriculum entries. 

Add level 1 curriculum area group. 

Note: You will also need to add level 2 and 3 entries in turn.

Delete the selected level 1 item and its level 2 children and level 3 grandchildren. 

Unique code used within Synergetic for level 2 curriculum entries. 

Group of essential knowledge, skills and behaviours. 

Used to indicate that the results are to be summarised at the level 2 curriculum area rather than broken down to each level 3 entry (strand or mode). 

Currently only used for Crystal Reports.

Originally used for VELS which was superseded by AusVELS and then Victorian Curriculum F-10.

Add level 2 curriculum area. 

Note: You also need to add level 3 entries.

Delete the selected level 2 item and its level 3 children. 

Unique code used within Synergetic. 

Minimum value that the strand or mode can be assigned by the calculation. 

Maximum value that the strand or mode can be assigned by the calculation. 

Language sequences used in the Victorian Curriculum F-10:

• Years F-10 Sequence
• Years 7-10 (Year 7 Entry) Sequence.

Pathways for Chinese language in the Victorian Curriculum F-10:

• Background Language Learner Pathway
• First Language Learner Pathway
• Second Language Learner Pathway.

Add level 3 curriculum strand or mode.

Delete the selected level 3 item.

Note: Consider clearing the Active field next to the curriculum entry instead to logically delete the record.
