Removing a substitute staff member from a class
If you have made a staff substitution for a class and have to change it for any reason, you must first delete it, then choose another substitute:
- staff member
- room, if required.
To delete a staff substitution:
- Select Curriculum > Substitutions Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
The Substitutions Search Criteria window is displayed. - Select the staff member of the class you want to remove a substitution for.
This defaults to your staff code. To select a different staff member, select them from the Staff Code drop-down list. - Select the date of the substitution in the Timetable Date field.
- Click to display a list of classes for the selected staff member and date.
The list of classes for the selected staff member and date is displayed. - Click Delete next to the class you want to remove the substitution from.
The Delete substitution window is displayed. - If you do not need to email the staff member about the change, clear Email details to the substitute staff member.
- Click to confirm the deletion.
- To select a different staff member to substitute for the class, you need to add a new substitution. See Substituting a staff member and a room for a class.
