Removing a substitute staff member from a class

If you have made a staff substitution for a class and have to change it for any reason, you must first delete it, then choose another substitute:

  • staff member
  • room, if required.

To delete a staff substitution:

  1. Select Curriculum > Substitutions Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Substitutions Search Criteria window is displayed.
  2. Select the staff member of the class you want to remove a substitution for.
    This defaults to your staff code. To select a different staff member, select them from the Staff Code drop-down list.
  3. Select the date of the substitution in the Timetable Date field.
  4. Click to display a list of classes for the selected staff member and date.
    The list of classes for the selected staff member and date is displayed.
  5. Click Delete next to the class you want to remove the substitution from.
    The Delete substitution window is displayed.
  6. If you do not need to email the staff member about the change, clear Email details to the substitute staff member.
  7. Click  to confirm the deletion.
