Using the Study Period Student Login window

You can search for students to sign in to the study period. See Using the Study Period Teacher Login window.
You cannot view which students have already signed in until the study period is over. To view which students signed into a study period use the Study Period Admin window after the period has ended. See Using the Study Period Admin window.
 

Note: Your organisation can determine whether study periods are counted as absence events using the CountAsAbsence field. See luAbsenceType lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.


 Opening the Study Period Student Login window

To open the Study Period Student Login window:

  1. Select Students > Study Period Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
    The Study Period Teacher Login window is displayed.
  2. Select a Staff Code and Room for the study period.
  3. Select a study period in the Timetable area and click Sign In.
    The Study Period Student Login window is displayed.

Period

Period of the study period.

Class Code

Code of the study period. Typically this is made up of the teacher's staff code followed by the room number.

Room

Room the study period is in.

Teacher

Teacher taking the study period.

Description

Description of the study period.

Time

Time the study period runs.

Number of Students

Number of students signed in to the study period.

Search fields

Search

Search for a student by typing in their:

  • surname
  • first name
  • surname followed by a comma and their initial
  • surname followed by a comma and their first name
  • Synergetic ID.

Select a new study period.

Search for students to sign in based on the information you typed into the Search field. Click the Select link to sign the student in to the study period.

Clear the search criteria.
