Processing Staff details received from External System via SIF Action Centre messages

You can process Staff details received from External System via SIF Action Centre messages to import employee details received from an external system (e.g. HROnboard) into Community Maintenance and Staff Maintenance.

Once this message has been processed, a community record is linked to the Staff payroll details received from External System via SIF Action Centre message to allow you to import employee details into Payroll Maintenance. See Processing staff payroll details received from External System via SIF messages

To process a Staff details received from External System via SIF Action Centre message:

  1. Click .
    The Action Centre Summary window is displayed.


    Tip:
    You can also click a link in the Action Centre Summary window to launch a specific message, task or alert in the Action Centre.

  2. Click .
    The Description tab of the Action Centre window is displayed.
  3. Select the Staff details received from External System via SIF Action Centre message.



  4. Click Link/New.
    The Find Community Member window is displayed with the Surname and Given1 values pre-populated.

  5. Review the listed community members to determine whether any existing record matches the supplied details.
  6. Either: 

    • Use an existing record by selecting the record and clicking Use this person.

    Note: Using an existing record displays the community member's name in the Linked to Community Member field.

    • Create a new community member record by clicking Create new person.

    Note: Creating a new community member record displays Pending creation in the Linked to Community Member field.

  7. Accept or reject the details supplied from the external system. You can:

    • Select the Accept and Reject fields in the grid are to accept or reject individual changes
    • Click  or  to accept or reject all changes.

  8. Click .
    The received information is processed and records are either created or updated in Community Maintenance and Staff Maintenance.
    Processing the Staff details received from External System via SIF Action Centre message is complete.
