Configuring Online application portal emails

Online application portal users receive emails when they:

  • create their accounts
  • reset their passwords.

You can complete the steps in this topic to define:

  • email address used to send online application portal emails
  • sender name used for online application portal emails 
  • subject and body of the account creation email
  • subject and body of the password reset email.

To define emails for the Online application portal:

  1. Open Synergetic.
  2. Select Module > System > Configuration File Maintenance from the Main menu.

    Tip: You can also access the System Maintenance functions by clicking .

    The Configuration File Maintenance window is displayed.
  3. Locate the OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_FromAddress configuration setting. See OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_FromAddress configuration setting.
  4. Type the email address used to send Online application portal emails into the Value field.
  5. Locate the OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_FromName configuration setting. See OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_FromName.
  6. Type the sender name used when sending Online application portal emails into the Value field. 
  7. Locate the OnlineApplicationsPortal_AccountCreation_Body configuration setting. See OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_AccountCreation_Body.
  8. Type the body of the account creation email sent to Online application portal users into the Value field.
  9. Locate the OnlineApplicationsPortal_AccountCreation_Subject configuration setting. See OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_AccountCreation_Subject.
  10. Type the subject of the account creation email sent to Online application portal users into the Value field.
  11. Locate the OnlineApplicationsPortal_ResetPassword_Body configuration setting. See OnlineApplicationsPortal_Email_ResetPassword_Body.
  12. Type the body of the password reset email sent to Online application portal users into the Value field.

  14. Type the subject of the password reset email sent to Online application portal users into the Value field.
