Deleting a Kiosk

The kiosk must be deleted in Synergetic prior to configuring a new kiosk on the same tenant.

Deleting a kiosk

1. To delete a kiosk, navigate to the kiosks interface settings
System-> Interface Settings → Kiosk API

2. Select “KioskAPI Kiosk(s) to open the list of deployed kiosks

3. Find the kiosk that you want to delete and select the drop-down next to the kiosk name

4. Select the “Remove this kiosk” button to delete the kiosk

 

The deletion is a “soft delete”, and the kiosk status will change from “Enrolled” to “Deleted”.
When a kiosk is deleted, you cannot re-use the QR code generated or kiosk name to configure a new kiosk.

Re-configuring a kiosk

1. In the side-bar, select the “KioskAPI Kiosk(s)“ option

2. To add a new kiosk to synergetic, select the Plus Icon (add new kiosk button)

3. Finally, select “Yes” to confirm to add a new kiosk

4. Click the “Click to get QR code” to generate a QR code for the kiosk

5. On the iPad, close the kiosk application by double-clicking the home button and swiping up on the kiosk application

6. Open the kiosk application

An error will appear stating the device is not found - this is because the device has been deleted.

Scan the new QR code and delete the auto-filled text and re-enter the kiosks name

Error re-configuring the kiosk

After entering the role name and selecting next - if you receive an error “Device is already deleted”. Close the kiosk application by double-clicking the home button and swiping up on the kiosk application, and open the application again.
When the kiosk opens you can scan the same QR code, and be able to proceed through the configuration process.
