Specific terms are used when timetabling with Primary Time. See Glossary of terms.

Year groups are assumed to be in their home rooms under the care of their home teachers unless:

• taking specialist subjects with specialist teachers, such as music teacher Susan Thomas (code TNS)
• timetabled to specialist rooms, such as the Library. See Timetabling by exception.
