Staff Mark Book window key fields and buttons
Grid area fields
The grid area fields correspond to the fields in the Mark Book area. See the field descriptions in the Mark Book area below.
In the following example, the Assignment 1 mark book assessment area is selected and the corresponding values can be edited in the Mark Book area.
Buttons
Use the buttons on the right side of the window are displayed to create, import or delete Mark Book assessment areas.
Button | Description |

Adds another mark book area. The new mark book is after all existing mark book assessment areas. | |
Inserts a new mark book assessment area before the highlighted area. | |
Deletes the highlighted mark book assessment area. | |
Allows you to copy mark book assessment areas from another subject assessment or class that currently have mark book areas set up. | |
Move the mark book assessment area above the one immediately above it. | |
Move the mark book assessment area below the one immediately below it. |
Fields

Copy Level | How mark books are made available to other users. | |

Seq | Identifying sequence number. | |
Heading | Name of the assessment area. |

Abbrev Heading 1 and 2 | Abbreviation of the Heading field. | |
Result Type | Result values available for the subject assessment area. | |
Override Mask | Range of valid result values. Staff can only enter values within the range specified. Numeric masks. For example: “,0- 10"10” “,0- 100"100” “,80- 0"0” Alphanumeric masks. If you want to define values like Beginning, Consolidating, Established then you set up these values as follows: “,B |Beginning, C|Consolidating, E Established" "|Established” |Good, VG|Very Good, E Excellent" "|Excellent” UG”

Result Group | Group of subject assessment areas. | |
Mark Out Of | Specify the maximum numeric value for the mark. |

Weighting Factor | Priority that this assessment is to take in the calculated result. | |
Summarise to Assessment Area Seq | Defines which assessment area this mark book assessment area is to be linked to. |
