Settings Maintenance - Settings tab

You can use the Settings tab to maintain Action Centre message settings including:

  • number of days messages are displayed in the Action Centre
  • minimum number of days between identical messages
  • whether emails are sent when messages are created
  • whether messages are visible in the Community Portal.


Note: This tab is not displayed for parent messages.

 Opening the Settings tab

To open the Settings tab:

  1. Select Module > System > Settings Maintenance (Action Centre Message Types).
    The Settings Maintenance window is displayed.

    Tip:
    You can also access the System Maintenance functions by clicking
    .

  2. Navigate the folder structure to select an Action Centre message. See Navigating the folder structure.


    Tip: You can search for Action Centre message by typing into the Search field. Display the next search result by clicking Next.
     

    The Settings tab of the Settings Maintenance window is displayed.


Settings Maintenance - Settings tab key fields

Field

Description

Days To Action

This field is not currently used.

Days To Keep

Number of days from the DateCreated to keep the selected Action Centre message remains in the database. The overnight purge process will delete all messages that were created more than the Days to Keep ago. If Days to Keep is 0, the message will never be purged.

Responsible User Login

This field is not currently used.

Min. Days Between Identical Messages

Minimum number of days that must pass before identical messages of the selected message type are created in the Action Centre.

Send email when message is created

Select to send an email when the selected Action Centre message is created.

Email Subject

Subject of the email sent out when the selected Action Centre message is created.

Note: This field is only active when the Send email when message is created field is checked.

Email includes the message detail

Select to include the message detail in the email sent out when the selected Action Centre message is created.

Note: This field is only active when the Send email when message is created field is checked.

Message is visible in Community Portal

Select to display this message on the Community Portal.

Users subscribe to the Action Centre message.

Action Centre message is targeted to a specific user.

Whether the Action Centre message is active.

Unique code of the selected message.
