Creating squads

You can create Squads for each Sport in your organisation's sport program. For example, Basketball squads.


Note: Squads are the level two subject class categories of Sports Maintenance. See the luSubjectClassCategory lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

To create squads:

1. Select Curriculum > Sports Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
   
   Note: The title of the Co-Curricular Maintenance menu item is determined by the MenuText field in the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
   
   The Set Sport Search Criteria window is displayed.
   
   
   Note: The windows in Sports Maintenance use the words Sport, Squad and Team. These descriptions are set using the SubjectClassCategoryLevel fields on the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
    
2. Click .
3. Select a sport in the Sport Selector.
   
4. Click the Students bar.
   The Students bar is displayed.
   
5. Click in the Squads area.
   The Create New Squad window is displayed.
   
6. Type a Code for the squad. For example, BasketballU12.
7. Type a Description for the squad. For example, BasketballU12.
8. Select a Staff Member to train the squad.
   
9. Click .
   The squad is displayed in the Sport Selector.
   
10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 to add additional squads.
