Before starting, review key concepts. See Concepts used in student assessments.

The SynWeb Assessments module allows you to:

SynWeb connects to the Synergetic database using a web browser. If you use SynWeb you do not need to export assessments and work on them off-line.

You can print assessment worksheets, group assessment worksheets and other reports. See Key assessment and reporting reports.

Department administrators can define and alter the style of reporting independently of how results and comments are entered by staff. If required, department administrators can enforce:

  • result types, using their own edit masks
  • lengths of comments, to ensure comments fit on a uniform report layout
  • comments to be used, if they want to restrict staff to standard department agreed comments.

Not all functions are available in SynWeb. See the Synergetic Assessments and reports manual for details of the following functions:

  • Print student reports.
  • Define your own tabs or programs within Synergetic.
  • Copy VELS (Victorian Essential Learning Standards) definitions from one year to the next.
  • Synchronise NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) student results.
  • Process result checks and calculations forĀ AusVELS, Victorian Curriculum, Religious Education (RE), Religious Education Renewed (REN) or WAAR (Western Australian Assessment Reporting) data
  • Monitoring assessment data using Power BI dashboards.
