Default value
The default value is 0. Users cannot send emails to staff members.
Setting a different value
Three values are available:
Value | Description |
|---|---|
0 | Users cannot email staff members. The email icon is hidden. |
1 | Users can email staff members through the portal's SMTP server. |
2 | Users can email staff members using their system's default email application. |
| 3 | use Portal interface (Send Email using the Configurable Email address [CommunityPortal|Email|FromAddress] with the parent's email as the ReplyTo address). Please note the reason for using Mode 3 over Mode 1 would be if the School has a SMTP relay rule preventing outside emails coming in to the school (e.g. preventing spam emails) |
