A

TID

Unique Identifier for each row, based upon Student, Class, Year and Term that remains the same each time the table is deleted and re-created.

Configuration

Mandatory

• This field is defined using the database field StudentClassesSeq from the table StudentClasses. 
• This field can be seen on the Classes tab of Class Maintenance of the Students Module, by enabling Grid Enhancements and adding the Seq column. See Current Student Maintenance - Classes tab.

Note:     Deleting and re-enrolling a student from and to the Class will change the TID.  BSSS should be informed if this occurs post-first submission of the data to BSSS.

B

SKey

Student number allocated by the Board of Senior Secondary Studies.

Students without the BSSS student number will not be populated into the BSSS data transfer table.

Mandatory

• This field is defined when students are added to the Synergetic community databaseThis field is defined using the Studies Code field on the Codes tab of Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Codes tab.
• This field has a maximum field length of 7 characters10 characters.

Unique 6-character Class ID as provided by BSSS.

• Up until Release 71.9 This field is defined based upon the BSSS tab Radio Button:  Use Class ID for MKey of Student Classes.
• If Off then this field is defined using the first five six characters of the  the Assessment Code field on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab.Post Release 71.9
• If On then this field is defined using the Class ID ID field on the General tab of Class Maintenance.  See Class Maintenance - General tab.
• Pre Release 71.9 this field has a maximum field length of 5 characters.
• Post Release 71.9 this field has a maximum field length of 6 characters.

Note: A  A unique identifier for the class provided by BSSS. Same data as Class

Unique 6-character Class ID as provided by BSSS.

• This value is defined using the Class ID field on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab.
• This field has a maximum field length of 6 characters.

Note: As of late 2023, this field no longer used by BSSS.

• This field is defined using the Year and Term fields on the BSSS tab of the Import/Export Student Data window.
• This field has a maximum field length of 6 characters.

Note: If Year and Term values are not selected on the BSSS tab, this field is defined the default values set using the Set Current button on the File Semester tab of Student File Semester Maintenance. See Student File Semester Maintenance - File Semester tab.

• This field is defined using the Year field on the BSSS tab of the Import/Export Student Data window.
• This field has a maximum field length of 4 characters.

Note: If a Year values is not selected on the BSSS tab, this field is defined the default value set using the Set Current button on the File Semester tab of Student File Semester Maintenance. See Student File Semester Maintenance - File Semester tab.

• This value is defined using the Class Code field when the class is created. See Class creation windows.
• This field has a maximum field length of 9 characters.

• This field is defined using the Board Studies Code field on the General tab of Class Maintenance. See Class Maintenance - General tab.
• This field has a maximum field length of 4 characters.

Note: This field contains the first four characters of the Board Studies Code.

N

Assessment_Period

One of {Y1, S1, S2, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4}.  Populated based on the Number of Terms Per Year a school is configured for and the Term the BSSS files are run for.

Mandatory

• This field is defined using the Description and Sem fields for the default file semester set using the Set Current button on the File Semester tab of The first character is defined using the value of the Number of Terms Per Year field on the File Semester tab of Student File Semester Maintenance.
    1 = Y
    2 = S
    4 = Q

• The second character is defined by the Actual Sem value for which the Semester BSSS is being generated, from the File Semester tab of Student File Semester Maintenance.  See Student File Semester Maintenance - File Semester tab.
• If the valued determined is not in {Y1, S1, S2, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4}, then an exception occurs and the first character is replaced with the value of the Short field on the File Semester tab of Student File Semester Maintenance. See

• This field has a maximum field length of 2 characters.

• This field is defined using the School Code field on the BSSS tab of the Import/Export Student Data window.
• This field has a maximum field length of 4 characters.

Q

SRKS_Number

Synergetic ID of the student.

Mandatory

• This field is defined when students are added to the Synergetic community database.
• This field is an integer.

Note: This field is not required by BSSS; however, is included to make the table easier to read for school staff.
