Creating co-curricular file type programs

Examples of co-curricular programs include:

  • Sports Maintenance
  • Music Maintenance
  • Performing Arts Maintenance
  • Cadet Maintenance.

To create co-curricular programs:

  1. Login to the Synergetic Windows client with administrator rights.
  2. Select Module > System Maintenance > Lookup Tables Maintenance in the Synergetic main menu.
    The Lookup Table Maintenance window is displayed.
  3. Search for the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.
  4. Click .
  5. Type a Code for your co-curricular program. For example, SPORTSMAINT.
  6. Type a Description for your co-curricular program. For example, Sports Maintenance.
  7. Select SPTCOCUR in the ModuleCode field.
  8. Select a subject class category in each of the following fields:
    SubjectClassCategoryCodeLevel1
    • SubjectClassCategoryCodeLevel2
    • SubjectClassCategoryCodeLevel3.

    Note:
    Subject class category codes define the category structure within co-curricular programs. See the luSubjectClassCategory lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
     
  9. Type a description for your co-curricular program in the MenuText field. For example, Sports Maintenance.

    Note:
    This is the description of the sub-menu item displayed on the Curriculum tab in SynWeb.

  10. Type a description in the SemesterOverrideText field. For example, Season.
  11. Type a description in the LearningAreaOverrideText field. For example, Sport.
  12. Type a description in the AssessmentCodeOverrideText field. For example, Sport.

    Note
    : This field affects the assessment description heading in Subject Assessment Area maintenance. See Subject Assessment Maintenance - Summary tab - Summary sub-tab in the Synergetic Assessments and reports manual.
     
  13. Repeat steps 4 through 12 to add additional co-curricular programs.
  14. Click .
    For example, the completed lookup table would be as follows.
